Our Website Designs are Fully Resposive!

With the everyone walking around with a tiny computer in thier pocket and most website traffic originating from those mobile users it’s important to make sure your site is viewable and resposive on those devices.

What is a Responsive Website?

Responsive Web design is an approach whereby we design a Web page that “responds to” or resizes itself depending on the type of device it is being seen through. That could be an oversized desktop computer monitor, or a laptop, a 10-inch tablet, a 7-inch tablet, or a 4-inch smartphone screen.

The purpose of responsive design is to have one site, but with different elements that respond differently when viewed on devices of different sizes.

On a traditional fixed website

If viewed on a desktop computer, for instance, the website might show three columns. But when you view that same layout on a smaller tablet, it might force you to scroll horizontally, something we know users don’t like. Elements might be hidden from view or look distorted. The impact is also complicated by the fact that many tablets can be viewed either in portrait orientation, or turned sideways for landscape view.

On a small smartphone screen, sites can be even more challenging to see. Large images may “break” the layout. Sites can be slow to load on smartphones if they are graphics heavy.

We Make Your Website Work Everywhere.

We now live in a mobile-first era and are moving toward a mobile-first index.

That’s because consumers are addicted to smartphone and tablets. And that isn’t changing any time soon.

In this environment, responsive design is no longer an innovation. Instead, it has become a standard component of any SEO plan, regardless of industry

Search Engines are built for users – for people who search the web. In a world where those users are accessing the web via mobile devices, They accordingly. And so, it stands to reason that they are going to favor those sites that meet the needs of Google, Yahoo or Bing users.

Search Engines will favor websites that are optimized for people using mobile and smartphone devices. Those businesses are typically the ones that have migrated into mobile responsive design.

In Short

Over 70% of small business traffic comes from mobile devices and tablets.  Not only does your site have to be built to “fit” the screen requirements of todays mobiles but it has to be fast enough to load on a device with a cellular connection.  The big push today in website design is fast and small.  Fast loads matter.  If your site isn’t fast enough, it won’t be suggested to a mobile user by the search engines.  When those users make up the majority of your visitors, it’s important.
